Betty Mae Goad, 79, of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Goad was born in Virginia to the late Sherman and Edith Nester Dalton. Survivors include her children, Patti Miller of Hillsville, Lora Goad of Hillsville, and Bobby Goad of Willis; sisters, Mary Ann Hundley of Florida, Shirlene Slate of Hillsville, and Regina Goad of Dugspur; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. A graveside service with burial will be held at the Nester Cemetery at a later date with Pastor Jerry Keegan officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the family. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
