Betty Lou Duff of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at her home. Mrs. Duff was born in Richlands, Virginia to the late Charlie and Gladys Farmer Mitchell.

Betty was a dedicated mother and Nana to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time reading and going on trips. She will be missed by so many.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Duff of the home; children, Arielle (Joey) Wilder of Galax, VA and Alex Duff of Charlotte, NC; stepdaughters, Lisa (Matt) Demshar of Geneva, OH and Jennifer (Jimmy) McGee of Richlands, VA; grandchildren, Aries Porter, Chase Wilder, Anastasia Wilder, Evander Wilder, Lilli Demshar, Garrett Demshar, and Keegan McGee; and siblings, Tim (Joann) Mitchell, Glenna (Bill) Hagy, Carlene (Sidney) Sparks, Denna (Eddie) Shortridge, and Charles (Zeta) Mitchell.

A graveside service with burial will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin at 11:00 AM with Pastor John officiating. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
