Betty Cox, 72 of Laurel Fork, VA, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, VA. Mrs. Cox was born in Washington D.C. to the late Herbert & Margaret Bonavita. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Andrea Mudd. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Cox of the home; sons Michael Cox and Richard Cox both of Laurel Fork; sisters & brothers-in-law Ellen & Myron Gowans of Kilmaronock, VA, Patsy Dixon of Alexandria, VA, and Nancy & Butch McDowell of Warsaw, MO; grandson J.P. Mudd; granddaughter Sara Capezio; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel in Hillsville, VA at 2:00 PM with Rev. Harold Fenstermaker and Mr. Vic Swaim officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 1, 2008.
