Betty Shelor Combs, 67, of Woodlawn, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Erma Shelor and infant brother, of Meadows of Dan. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Combs of the home; daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren, Cynthia, Paul, Brooke and Connor Allen, of Hudson, OH; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Bob Helms of Patrick Springs; mother-in-law, Mary Gladys Banks Combs of Woodlawn; aunt, Annalee Shelor of Meadows of Dan; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Russell Danley of King, NC; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Leon Dalton of Radford, VA. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 20th, 2013 at 11AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Edward Bowman and Reverend Russell Vass officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery on Joy Ranch Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 19, 2013 from 6PM to 8PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel in Hillsville is serving the family.
