Betty Evelyn Bond Myers, age 76 of Collinsville, VA passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at her home. She was born on August 11, 1930 in Carroll County to the late Roy and Iva Bond. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Myers was also preceded in death by a sister Alma Bond Weddle and a brother Curtis Bond. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Duel Vernon Myers of the home; daughters Donna Kim Myers of Collinsville and Deborah Myers Hodges and husband William of Bassett; sisters & brother-in-law Wilma Howlett, Virginia & Horace Staples and Dorothy Wyrick all of Hillsville; three grandsons William, Jeffery and Justin Hodges all of Bassett; five great grandchildren Hunter, Amber, Blake, Logan & Jeffery Hodges and a special thanks to niece, Patsy Julian.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Rev. Ronnie Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Myers Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the funeral service.
