Betty Sue Beamer, 84, of Woodlawn, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows. Mrs. Beamer was born in Carroll County to the late Norman Pickett Bowman and Irene Combs Bowman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Beamer, her second husband, Jim Blalock; and a sister, Aylease Hawks.

Survivors include her children and spouse, Susan Beamer Smith of Fancy Gap, Bobby G. Beamer of Keswick, VA and Brenda and Dale Moore of Woodlawn; step sons, Mike Blalock, Mark Blalock and Kenny Blalock all of Mebane, NC ; sister, Maylease Mabe of Cana,; brothers and sisters-in-law, Elder Edward Bowman and wife Cora Mae Bowman of Woodlawn, and Berlie Bowman and wife Patsy Bowman of Bowling Green, KY; and three grandchildren, Kaylee Smith, Baxter Beamer, and Tucker Beamer.

The family would like to express a special "thank you" to Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows, Commonwealth Assisted Living, and Mountain Valley Hospice for their care and support.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Beamer Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joy Ranch P.O.
