Bessie Goad, 96, of Dugspur, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Goad was born in Carroll County to the late William Chesterfield and Lousie Newman Sutphin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Mawyer Goad and a son, Junior Lee Goad. Survivors include her son, Melvin Goad; grandson, Jason Goad; and two great grandchildren, Aden Goad and Zoie Goad. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 with Pastor Harold Fenstermaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Kemp Cemetery in Dugspur. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
