Bertha Elizabeth McAlexander, 95, of Laurel Fork, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. McAlexander was born in Floyd County to the late Haze and Dillie Duncan Hollingsworth. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McAlexander was also preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Dalton; second husband, Chris McAlexander; five sisters; one half-sister; five brothers; and two half-brothers.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Clark and Carol Dalton of Clarksville and Stuart and Yvonne Dalton of Dugspur; daughter and son-in-law, Claralyn and Kenneth Reece of Dugspur; half-brothers, Glenn Hollingsworth, Sylvan Hollingsworth, and Arlan Hollingsworth; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 Pm with Elder Tim McGrady and Rev. Howard Nester officiating. Burial will follow in the Dalton Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
