Berta Mae Jennings, 95 of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Hillsville Health and Rehab.  Mrs. Jennings was born in Carroll County to the late Hobert and Ina Blanche Quesenberry Richardson.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Enoch Paul Jennings; siblings and their spouses, Clara and Daulton Dillard, Colleene and Orvin White, Oneda Bell and French Chrisley, Maxine and Bernard Allison, Harvey and Mary Richardson, Ray and Cora Richardson, Raymond and Elsie Richardson; and brothers-in-law, Saford Akers, and Vernon White.

Survivors include her sisters, Gertrude Akers and Freida White; special caregivers, Monique Woods and Devona Cockerham; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 12:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery.  Dennie Surratt, Terry Woods, Dewayne Jennings, Dajon Cox, Bobby Leonard, and Randy Moore will be serving as pallbearers.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
