Bernice Robinson, 77, of Chicago, IL, formerly of Carroll County, VA, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2009 in Chicago. She was preceded in death by her husband James Bobby Robinson; parents Jack & Francis Hackney; father & mother-in-law James L. & Mary Robinson; and several sisters. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Dennis J. & Mary Kate Robinson; grandson James R. Robinson; sister Alice Bishop; sisters-in-laws & spouse Jeanne & Buford Edwards, Juanita Tolbert, & Wyvetta Stockton; niece, nephews & spouses Wanda & Jim Simmons, Pat & Wayne Graham, Douglas Tolbert, Janet Alderman, Sam & Rachel Riffey, Robert Riffey, Greg Stockton, Mike Stockton, Vicki Stockton, and several others; special friend Jack & Betty Hiatt.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Russell Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 one hour prior to the funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The family will gather after the funeral services in the Fellowship Hall at the Coulson Church of the Brethren. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
