Benjamin Albert Engeldinger, 79 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior Willis Engeldinger and Helen Marie Abraham Engeldinger.

Survivors include his wife Peggy Mabe of the home; daughter, Jessica Engeldinger of Michigan; sons Brian Engeldinger of Michigan, and Bradley Engeldinger of Kentucky; brother, Jay Engeldinger of Wisconsin; three sisters and spouse, Boni Engeldinger of Montana, Barbara Oberski (Duane) of Florida, and Betty Metroff (Steve) of North Carolina; special friend Albert Snow.

Mr. Engeldinger served in the Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran who was honored with a Purple Heart, and he deeply loved all of his pets. He loved connecting with other Vietnam Veterans.

He sadly lost his battle with agent orange.
