Benjamin Harrison Allen II, 86, of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at his home. Dr. Allen was born April 7, 1931 in Goldsboro, North Carolina to the late Benjamin Harrison Allen and Nancy Catherine Jones Allen.

He is survived by his wife Martha Payne Allen of the home, daughters and sons-in law:

Jean Allen White and husband Rev. Denton White of Niagara Falls, New York; Joan Allen Hooven and husband Matthew of Staunton, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law: John Charles Allen and Sherry of Greensboro, North Carolina. Five grandchildren: Adam White (Laura), Elizabeth Alexander (Jay), W. B. Aaron Hooven, Claudia Allen, and Janie Catherine Allen; five great grandchildren: Ellery White, Abel White, Ezekiel White, Carter White and Adeline White.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Hillsville Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kevin Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM at the church until time for the memorial service.

Military rites will be conducted by Grover King Post VFW #1115, Masonic rites will be conducted by Hillsville Masonic Lodge 193, A.F. & A.M.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hillsville Presbyterian Church in memory of Dr. Allen.
