Beatrice L. Horton, 93 of Dugspur passed away Saturday, July 26, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Horton was born in Carroll County, VA to the late Ruben and Emma Goad Largen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Foster Horton; a son James Reaford Horton. She is survived by a daughter Annie Mae Landsberry of Dugspur; a son & daughter-in-law Alton C. & Patsy Horton of Galax; sister & brother-in-law Mary & Elvis Glenn Dalton of Bassett; two granddaughters & spouses Patricia & Glen Guynn, Susan & Tommy Ayers; five great grandsons, Brian, David, Jesse Guynn, Ethan, Luke Ayers; several nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law Vernie Largen, Ottie Quesenberry also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 29, 2008 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Norman Goad officiating. Burial will follow in the Bobbitt Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 28, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
