Barney Elwood Vass, 57, of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014. Mr. Vass was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Louise Burcham Vass and parents Swanson and Wilma Combs Vass. Survivors include his children, Jessica Ellen Vass and Jeffery Ray Vass; brothers and sister-in-law, Russell and Betty Vass and Dennis Vass; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Earlene and Roland Richardson and Gladys and Charlie Sumner; and nephews and nieces, Allan Vass, Lesa Largen, Vickie Sechrist, Sandra Byers, Tammy Crotts, and Terry Richardson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. David "Buster" Sechrist and Rev. Wayne Marion officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
