Barbara Ann Burnett Robinson, age 89 of Austinville, VA, passed away on January 25, 2026, at the Hillsville Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Barbara was born to the late Ethel Carter Burnett and Clise Harold Burnett of Woodlawn, VA on October 9, 1936. Along with her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Sterling Rupert Robinson, Jr., as well as her son, Barry Clay Robinson, and her sister, Patsy Farmer.
Barbara graduated from Woodlawn High School and attended Radford College. Her greatest joy in life was that of being a mother to her four children, and granny to her 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She loved her flower gardens and stayed busy preparing, canning and freezing fresh fruits and vegetables that Junior raised in his bountiful gardens.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Beverly Webb of Staunton, VA; two sons, Burton (Penny) Robinson and Preston (Pam) Robinson, both of Woodlawn, VA; daughter-in-law, Lynn Robinson, of Rural Retreat, VA; grandchildren Richard (Kim) Webb, Chris (Courtney) Webb, Nathan (Jessica) Webb, Dana (Randy) Armbrister, Kelly (Chris) Terry, Andrew (Lindsay) Robinson, Ginger (Kevin) Marshall, Ryan (Kaitlyn) Staples, Kayla (Austin) Wolford, and Kyle (Laken) Robinson; as well as her 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are Barbara's three sisters, Dorothy Ring of Dobson, NC, Carol Leonard of Hillsville, VA, and Modena Dalton of Galax, VA; and one brother, Jerry Burnett of Woodlawn, VA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Coulson Church at 2:00 PM with Dr. Wayburn Mosley officiating. Burial will follow in the Coulson Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Hillsville Health and Rehabilitation Center and Medi Hospice for the loving care they provided to Barbara.
