Barbara Frances Burdick, 69 of Cana passed away Monday, December 26, 2005 at Waddell Nursing Home. Mrs. Burdick is survived by her husband David Burdick, mother Fannie S. Hurst of Cana; brother & sister-in-law James & Gloria Hurst of Cana; sisters & brother-in-law Jeanette Hurst of Cana, Shirley & David Harrell of Georgia, Charlotte Hurst of Cana, Julie Wayne of Kernersville, NC, Leona Niccum of Cana, and Violet Hurst of Richmond. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at 611 East Stuart Drive in Galax at 4:00 P.M. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 prior to the memorial service. Flowers would be appreciated; however donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
