B. Clyde Dalton, 78 of Virginia Beach, Virginia, formerly of Carroll County, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2102 in Virginia Beach. He was born in Hillsville, Virginia, and was the son of the late Burley and Lillian Dalton. Clyde retired as a Vice President of the Dealer Division of Life Savings Bank and BB&T in 1998. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Norview Masonic Lodge # 113, Norfolk Scottish Rite, and Khedive Drum & Bugle Corps, since 1970. He served as the Potentate of the Khedive Temple in 1989, and President of the Mid Atlantic Shrine Association in 2002-2003. Clyde is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Alice Dalton; son Philip C. Dalton and wife Christine of Virginia Beach; five sisters, Kathleen Lang, Frances Kyle, Betty Jo Kyle, Barbara Eggert and husband John and Nancy Glass and husband Mike; two brothers, James Dalton and wife Debbie, and Tommy Dalton; three grandchildren, Christopher Dalton, Meghan Auer, and Jamison Auer. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Ty Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at the Heath Banks Cemetery in Fancy Gap, Virginia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from six until eight. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
