Audrea Penland Harner, 87 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Commonwealth Senior Living. Mrs. Harner was born in Amonate, VA to the late Palmer and Mabel Patrick Penland. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Neil Harner.

Survivors include her son Neil Patrick Harner and Brenda Hill Harner of Fancy Gap; daughter, Deborah Harner and Dana Pack of Wytheville, brother, Robert Penland of Tazewell; sisters, Carol Moran of Tannersville and Judy Thompson of Hillsville; grandsons and spouses, Kenneth and Tammy Horton, John and Wanda Horton, Eric and Andrea Horton, Patrick and Miranda Harner, and Brandon and Megan Harner; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Horton, Kaitlyn Horton, Hannah Horton, Emma Horton, Brandi Pruitt, Dominique Horton, Taylor Horton, E.J. Horton, Grant Horton, Lorelei Harner, Rhys Harner, Kyren Harner, Taytum Harner, and Macyn Harner.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Hillsville First Baptist Church at 1:00 PM with Dr. Lawrence Childs officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
