Arsie Rorrer Goad, 96 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Golden Living Center Blue Ridge. Mrs. Goad was born in Carroll County to the late George and Rosa Cruise Rorrer. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband S. Reed Goad; sisters Beulah Quesinberry, Ava Webb and Oleta Smith; and brothers Troy Rorrer, Roy Rorrer, Emerson Rorrer, and Lawrence Rorrer. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Wanda & Jerry Cock of Hillsville; granddaughter & spouse Michelle Cock & Phillip Sirrine; nieces Rosalie Johnson, Maxine Martin, Lois Jean Webb, Ann Castle and Barbara Edwards; and nephew L.A. Rorrer.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Elder Tim McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in the Isaac Banks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
