Arneda Belvace (Goad) Mesics, 92, of Dugspur, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Mesics was born in Carroll County to the late Lonnie and Tobitha Moles Goad. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Mesics; daughter, Sara Martin; and siblings, Ward Goad, Olive Goad, and Bethel Lea Goad. Mrs. Mesics graduated from Hillsville High School. She was a member of the Kings Daughters of Norfolk, VA and had a love for reading and nature. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Allen and Florence Mesics of Brunswick, GA and Stanford L. Mesics of Dugspur; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Kevin Carhart of Stillwater, NJ; siblings, Keith Goad of Dugspur, Agnes Ignudo of Wilmington, DE, Sarah Lou Vaughn of Stuart, and Rita Jean Shropshire of Ridgeway; grandchildren, Bryon Mesics, Crystal Williams, John Carhart, Michael Carhart, Laura Carhart, Robin Martin, and Jason Martin; and great grandchildren, Haley Mesics, Makenna Gaskill, Avery Williams and Taylor Williams. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Liberty Bible Church in Dugspur at 11:00 AM with Rev. Harold Fenstermaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Kemp Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
