Arlin W. Surratt, 78, of Hillsville passed away on Saturday, November 04, 2017 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Myrta Alderman Surratt; sister, Darlo Webb.

Survivors include his wife Jean N. Surratt of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Stacy and Samantha Surratt of Hillsville; daughter, Stephanie Surratt of Hillsville; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Marlin and Mary Surratt of Hillsville, and Glen and Terri Surratt of Woodlawn; sister, Alta Weddle of Cana; grandchildren, Sarah Boyd and Sydney Surratt. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Crooked Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Oscar Hill, Rev. Sandy Hendrick and Rev. Jeremy Hendrick officiating. Burial will follow in Crooked Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Crooked Oak Baptist Church Building Fund, 8956 Danville Pike, Hillsville, VA 24343 or to the Gideon's International at 2090 Fancy Gap Highway, Hillsville, VA 24343. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Surratt family.
