Archie L. Martin 81 of Hillsville passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy Eslie and Velva Martin; sister, Faye Martin Bowman; brothers, J.C. Martin and Conley Martin.

Mr. Martin is survived by his wife Mabel I. Pruitt Martin of the home; daughter, Judith M. Moore of Hillsville; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Lee and Tina Martin of Louisville, KY; sister, Lockie Gaye Turman of Laurel Fork; three grandchildren, Jennifer Heironimus, Brian Lee Moore, and Cody Jack Martin; one great grandchild, Zachary Heironimus. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Military Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Wilkinson Cemetery with Mr. Rocky Sutphin officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Twin County Hospice P.O. Box 106 Galax, VA 24333. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
