Annie Mae Rotenizer, 83 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2011 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Rotenizer was born in Carroll County to the late Norman Isaac & Sylvia Horton Akers. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Edward Rotenizer and brothers Alonzo Akers, Sanford Akers, and Norman Akers. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Roger & Rita Rotenizer and daughters & sons-in-law Janice & Wayne Pickett and Linda & Larry Pickett all of Austinville; grandchildren Robbie Pickett, Jamie Rotenizer, Josh Pickett, Tracy Burns, Heather Hill, Suzanne Spencer, and Kelly Rotenizer; great grandchildren Hannah Hill, Caleb Hill, Olivia Pickett, Alison Pickett, Jacob Burns, Sierra Rotenizer, Lance Rotenizer, Peyton Spencer, and Austin Atkins; and special caregiver Lois Edwards.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Russell Payne and Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Beasley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 6:00until 8:00 PM.
