Anna Linville Porterfield, 76, of Galax passed away on May 29, 2007 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Linville. She is survived by children and spouses Lora Frazier of Hillsville, Anita and James Alderman of Hillsville, Charlene Grimes of Galax, Rev. Gary and Donna Linville of Portsmouth, VA, Eddie and Nita Linville of Fries, Coldon and Daisy Linville of Hillsville, Claude Franklin Linville of Myrtle Beach, SC, Timmy Linville of Galax, and Lorne Pernell Linville of Galax; sisters Pauline Dalton and Izora White, both of Tazewell, VA; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be on Friday, June 1, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel, with Pastor Stacy Redd officiating. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 31, 2007 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
