Anna Mae Johnson Sutphin, 65 of Wytheville, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Wythe County Community Hospital. Mrs. Sutphin was born in Grayson County to the late Reuben Edward and Opal Geneva Brady Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald Scott Sutphin; children and spouses, Robbie and Tonya Williams, Bridgett and SSG. Andrew Gobble, and Lisa Williams Higgins; step daughter and spouse, Cara and Jonathan Lindner; siblings and spouses, Brenda Sue Johnson, Pat Arnold Dixon and Elgin Dixon, and J.R. and Vicky Johnson; seventeen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Jeff Pickett and Samuel Keith Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
