Anna Ruth Bowman Martin, 76, of Woodlawn, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013 at Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center. Mrs. Martin was born September 14, 1937 to the late Charlie Mayhew and Sarah Weddle Bowman. Survivors include her husband, Elton L. Martin, Sr. of the home; children and spouses, Sue and Terry Fowler of Woodlawn, Elton Martin, Jr. of Hillsville, and Debra and Vince Goad of Hillsville; brothers and sister-in-law, Donald and Opaline Bowman of Hillsville and Elmo Bowman of Tennessee; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy Quesinberry of Fancy Gap, Iris and Eldon Gardner of Fancy Gap, Lilly Webb of Hillsville, and Dawn and Fred Vinson of Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Kristy Newman of Galax and Casey Martin of Hillsville; and great grandchildren, Natalie Vega, Trenton Newman, and Chase Dixon. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladesboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
