Anita Huff Marshall, 89 of Dugspur, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Marshall was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Carson Taft and Dollie Marshall Huff.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Clifton Marshall.

Anita began her teaching career in Pulaski County Schools in 1953 with positions in Hiwassee Central and Pulaski Middle Schools and then also in the Warner School system in Indiana. Throughout the years she had obtained a bachelor's degree in 1959 and a master's degree in 1974 from Radford College. She retired from teaching in June of 1991.

Survivors include her children, Clifton Marshall and Deanna Marshall; grandchildren, Amanda Marshall, Carson Marshall, and Kyle Hopkins; and great-grandson, Wyatt Bobbitt.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor R.J. Buttery officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cox Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 until 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
