Anita Dianne Griffith, 63, went to her heavenly home Friday, November 13, 2015. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Faith and Lewie Cracraft from Paris, KY, her mother, Edith Griffith of Roanoke, VA; sisters Deborah Carte (William), Hillsville, VA; Donna Hornsby, Roanoke, VA; Grace Hackney (Tony), Efland, NC; Karen Stinson, Harrisonburg, VA; Ruth Dotson (Donald), Boone, NC; Carol Lena Miller (David) Harrisonburg, VA; and her brother Calvin Griffith (Sue) Galax, VA. Also surviving are eleven nieces and nephews, eight great nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dianne was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Vency Enos Griffith and her birth mother, Doris Gammons Griffith. Dianne was gifted with a caring spirit and a deep faith. She worked as a hairdresser and a church pianist, always living into her gifts of creativity and generosity. Dianne bore witness to her faith by how she exhibited joy in the midst of suffering during her struggle with rheumatoid arthritis. Her joy will live on through those who knew her. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 17 from 6-9pm at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home in Hillsville, VA. The Service of Celebration of Life will be at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady, Wednesday at 11:00am. A graveside service will follow at Coulson Church of the Brethren, Hillsville. Pastor Dava Hensley will preside.
