Angie Edwards, 65, passed away Friday, December 26, 2025 at the Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson, North Carolina.  Ms. Edwards was born May 21, 1960 in Henry County, Virginia to Sanders Junior Russell and Nellie Gay Jackson Russell.  She was preceded in death by her father Sanders.

Angie is survived by son Richard Edwards and daughter Christina (Eric) Alexander; Mother Nellie Jackson Russell; grandchildren Amber (Joel) Edwards, Damon (Reanna) Hill, Haley (Spencer) Trull, Cassidy (Conner) Sayers, Kymber Alexander, Taylor (Derek) Alexander, and Brody Alexander; great grandchildren Trevor, Hensley, Pearl, Carter, Kalani, Hazelynn, Greyson, Lainey, and Ellie-Iris.  Also surviving are sisters Melody Schaeffer and Cassandra Russell.   Angie also leaves behind special friends Lisa and Rylie Roscoe.

Angie was a lifetime member of the Hillsville Rescue Squad and will be gratefully remembered for her years of service to the community. She was very loved and will be greatly missed by her family.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 1, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastors Jeff Pickett and Russell Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilkinson Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 until service time at the church.

Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady is serving the Edwards family.
