Andrew "Andy" Sanford Jackson, better known as "Colonel Jack", passed away at his residence surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the age of 78.  Mr. Jackson was born in Roanoke, Virginia on September 15, 1944 to the late Andrew and Pattie Pearce Jackson.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Carol Jackson; children Andrew Michael Jackson and wife Danita, Tammie Denise Jackson, and Jennifer Lynn Jackson; four granddaughters; one great-grandson; sister, Mary Lou Poe; brother-in-law, Clifford Hawks and wife, Judy; several nieces and nephews; very special friend, Kirk Byrd; and beloved fur babies, Abigail, Little Bit and Tigger.

A private service will be held at the Jackson Cemetery at a later date.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
