Alvin Edward Hammond graduated to Heaven on June 15, 2025 at 7:00 AM. It was Father's Day and he saw his Heavenly Father for the first time. He lived a faithful life of service to God. He served in eight churches in over 44 years in ministry. He led countless souls to the Lord and spoke to anyone he came in contact with. He loved reading, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judith Ann Hammond, Three children, Stephen Hammond, Sharon Bright (Bruce), David Hammond (Renee), eight grandchildren, Daniel, Jacob (Layne), David, Allie (Orion), Alvin Andrew, Emma Grace, Aaron and Will.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Frederick George Hammond, his mother, Eleanor Doolittle Doktorski, his two sisters, Barbara and Carolyn and three grandchildren, Baby Bright, Laura Ann and Baby Hammond.

Alvin will be remembered for his love for Jesus, his sense of humor and love for his family.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 2:00PM in the Fenstermaker Family Cemetery with Pastor Calvin Adams and Josh Sechrist officiating. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel will be serving the Hammond Family.
