Aloyad Eugene Horton, 67, of Galax, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Horton was born in Carroll County to the late Henry and Mazzie Quesinberry Horton. Survivors include his wife Betty Horton of the home; sons and daughters-in-law Gary and Suzanne Horton of Fayetteville, NC, Doug and Beth Horton of Gastonia, NC; daughter and son-in-law Roxanne and Doug Snider of Hinesville, GA; brother James Horton of Dugspur; and twelve grandchildren. A graveside service with burial following will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 3:30 PM at the Isaac Quesenberry Cemetery with Mr. Richard Munsey officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
