Almagray Easter, 99 of Cana, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.  Mrs. Easter was born in Carroll County to the late Harrison and Amanda Gray Jennings.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Cameron P. Easter and several siblings.  Mrs. Easter retired after 41 years as a teacher.

Survivors include her children and spouses, Dealiena Felts (Norman), Kenneth Easter (Frankie), Richard Easter (Karen), and Sherman Easter (Bonnie); sister and brother-in-law, Mildred Norman (Paul); grandchildren and spouses, Michael Easter (Dawn), Amy Vollert (Nick), Ashley Galyean (Terry), Brenda Maiers (Eric), and Rachel Boyd (Raheim); nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. James O'dell Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
