Alma Edmonds Smith, 71, of Hillsville passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lebren Elmer and Nannie Mae Parnell Edmonds. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband, Earl Smith of the home; daughter, Angela Johnson of Princeton, WV; son Ricky Smith of Hillsville; brother, Robert Ray Edmonds of Richmond; sisters, Janet India Taylor of Woodlawn, and Thelma Jean Slate of TN; two granddaughters, Logan Johnson, and Laken Johnson. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Layman Olen Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the Mabe Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Smith family.
