Alma Coble Horton Wright, 94 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Hillsville Health and Rehab.  Mrs. Wright was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late James Alec and Ida Bell Phillips Coble.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, James E. Horton and Albert T. Wright; brothers, Everette R. Coble, James, E. Coble, and William L. Coble; and sisters, Martha Coble, Martha A. Henley, Ellen C. Graham, and Louise Gravley.

Survivors include her children, James C. "J.C." Horton (Connie), Ronnie G. Horton (Shirley W.), Gary L. Horton (fiancé, Cheryl Crawford), and Fran Zimmerman (Mike); eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; special nephew and spouse Nelson and Sue Graham; and special niece Freda Ann Hancock.  The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the administration, nursing staff and employees of Hillsville Health and Rehab for their love and care.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor David Bays officiating.  Burial will follow in the Osborne Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Osborne Cemetery c/o J.C. Horton, 171 Greenbriar Road, Hillsville, VA 24343. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
