Alma Jeanette Armentrout, 86 of Woodlawn, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Commonwealth Senior Living in Hillsville. Mrs. Armentrout was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia to the late Joseph Tyler, Sr. and Alphia A. Tyler.

Survivors include her husband, James Houston Armentrout; children and spouses, Linda and Greg Hines, Gregory and Carolyn Armentrout, Sandra and Bob Mullins, Barry and Donna Armentrout, and William and Peggy Armentrout; brother and sister-in-law Joseph Daniel Tyler, Jr. and Nancy; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Hillsville on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ryan Mills and Dr. Lawrence Childs officiating.  Burial will follow in Monta Vista Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the memorial service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
