Alice Marie Marshall, 64, of Woodlawn, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Woltz Hospice Home. Ms. Marshall was born in Carroll County to the late Roosevelt and Flora Padgett Marshall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard Marshall and Glenn Marshall. Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Loman and Carolyn Marshall of Woodlawn; nephews and spouses, David and Leigh-Ann Marshall of Hillsville, Glen and June Akers of Hillsville, and Jimmy Utt of Austinville; niece and spouse, Michelle and Shannon Austin of Galax; and several great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in the Dry Pond Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
