Alice Sue Goad, 66 of Dugspur, passed away on Saturday December 13, 2008 at Skyline Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Carroll County to the late Isaiah & Minerva Dalton Largen. In addition to he parents, she was also preceded in death by a son Mark Goad. Mrs. Goad is survived by her husband Marvin Goad of the home; sons & daughters-in-law James & Patricia Goad of Dugspur; Scott & Angela Goad of Hillsville; brother Allen Largen of Roanoke; grandchildren Laura Goad, Erika Goad, Isaiah Goad, and Jacob Goad; one great grandson; and daughter-in-law Mary Jane Goad.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday December 16, 2008 at 11: 00 AM at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Elmon Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Goad Cemetery. The family will receive friends at he funeral home on Monday, December 15, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
