Alice Faye Edwards' Obituary
Alice Faye Edwards, 71, of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Edwards was born in Wythe County, VA to the late Burton Joseph and Mable Catherine DeBord Akers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Michelle Wright and brother, Ronnie G. Akers.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Edwards of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Denise Edwards of Hillsville; daughter, Lori Edwards of Hillsville; siblings and spouses, Thomas and Dorothy Akers of North Carolina, Marie and Dewey Caviness of Austinville, Mae and Ronald Poole of Austinville, Gaye and Berney Frazier of Austinville, Karen and Paul Frazier of Austinville, Donald Akers of Pennsylvania, Kermit and Brenda Akers of Pulaski, and Kathy and William Thompson of Tennessee; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Blue Ridge Fellowship from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
