Alfred D. Auton, Sr., 45 of Austinville, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. Mr. Auton was born in North Carolina on March 11, 1973. He was preceded in death by his father Oscar Jones Auton, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Melinda S. Auton; children, Alfred Dale Auston, Jr., Brittney Nicole Auton, and Amber Lynn Auton; mother, Rosedna Auton; and sister, Barbara Gail Auton all of Austinville.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Welcome Home Missionary Baptist Church in Trap Hill at 2:00 PM with Rev. Danny Royal, Rev. T.J. Jackson, and Evangelist Billy Auton officiating. Burial will follow in the Welcome Home Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
