Alda Blair Devine, 85 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Devine was a Marine Corp veteran and served in the South Pacific Theater during World War II. He is survived by his wife Fern L. Devine of the home; daughter & son-in-law Karen & Anthony Dunford of Fancy Gap; son & daughter-in-law Patrick & Christine Devine of Alexandria, VA; sister Mary Belle Holder of Stafford, VA; grandchildren & spouses April & Robert Harris and Kellie & Dinesh Jos; and great grandchildren Alexander Harris, Olivia Harris and Mark Jos.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Chris Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb-Sky View Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
